I believe that one would need to build a room for EMP protection, and run all the devices in that room, charge batteries outside the room and bring them in to power the devices. The reason being is that the enemy will set off a nuke, wait 3 months then set off another one.
I have been moving more toward EMP proof devices in my thinking like lawn mowers, and mechanical timers…. I was thinking of using mnechanical timers as charge controllers for batteries. It would be a pain to reset the timer each day for solar charging, but it would work.
