Homestead Cooking Videos
Yoda has been doing quite a few homestead cooking videos recently. In fact she just dropped one last night on a Garlic Chicken and rice dish she whipped up (https://youtu.be/MX0R1F36lJI). Well, there have been two themes to these recipes. The first is “Back To Our Roots”. These videos showcase recipes she is using in the cookbook she is putting together. They all come from recipes that have been passed down through my mothers side of the family over the years. I love these recipes, because they take me back to my childhood, and remind me of my mother and grand-mother who both have sadly been gone for some years now. The other theme is “Meals On A Budget”. These are recipes that can feed the homestead on minimal cost; many times for less than $1 per serving, or will stretch a meal so that you can feed a large crew on minimal ingredients. With things headed the way they are, she’s adamant about helping people through it all this way.
