I started my slips from extra potatoes from last year. I punched holes in the bottom of plastic tubs, filled them with damp soil, put the mini potatoes in the soil, put the tubs on a rack to keep in moisture. Watered periodically, but didn’t let them get wet. Put this in a sunny window. One tub sprouted, the other did not.
