I grow herbs inter-planted with my other greens and try to add something new or even unusual every year. So far I have traditional sage, pineapple sage (which was new this year and I’m delighted that it has bloomed in fall and now so far into winter, which has drawn hummingbirds, and I try to keep plants they will benefit from, and didn’t know it would bloom when most everything else was gone, except my nasturtiums), rosemary, thyme, dill, lemon balm, stinging nettle, lime balm, spearmint (had peppermint in the past too, but prefer the other), garlic chives, regular chives and maybe be forgetting a few others. I think I will try the toothache plant this spring. I’m planning on adding yarrow then as well (in pots). If I had more room I would like to have others. Any suggestions for herbs that would do well in grow bags or containers are welcome. I am out of room in my limited raised bed space.
