@JerseyGiantChick Thank you. As soon as mine start laying again I plan to gather some of the eggs to incubate as well…JUST TO SEE if they are fertile. I roo is a Lavender Orphington and is just over a year old so he SHOULD be fertile. I have also gotten with my friend that owns our local Feed/Seed store about saving me 12 Buff Orphington pullets when they come in Friday. I know I don’t need any more mouths to feed but if the price of eggs continue to go up, I could make some money selling eggs to offset the cost of feed (that I’m going to start making myself!).
