Since she is in the hospital, it is highly unlikely that they will allow herbal treatment unless the MD knows you and believes in herbal medicine. Not sure of the situation. Any toxin type infection either via inhalation, injection or a bite, I always use activated charcoal. I always use it when I have to have a MRI with or without contrast, as those can be quite dangerous. It helps quickly with toxins, yet I do not know enough about snake bites, as we don’t experience that often in NH. I agree a poultice will help, but again, at the hospital, they will probably have things under control by the time a treatment arrives in the mail.
Right now, prayer is our strength. God knows her needs. Yet, as a proactive measure, for the future, consider gifting her a snake bite bag of herbal options to hopefully save her from having to run to the hospital. After reading your post, I will be looking at this, “just in case” we have the need.
