Here in eastern Tennessee we got down to 9 this morning. All car doors were frozen, all chickens waterers were, but the chickens made it👏🏼. Currently it’s 6 and no telling what it will get down to tonight. We are in a little valley so it always gets colder than predicted.
Hot water pipes froze, but they are pex so not broken. We are heating water on the wood stove. The wood furnace and small stove in the living room are having a hard time keeping up. Just have to fill more often. We were threatened with rolling blackouts, but haven’t experienced one yet. We have a backup portable generator and fuel if necessary.
